The Twilio + CODAME Art + Tech creative build-a-thon is a virtual event on February 11-12 where participants can join forces with other creatives to build something new using Twilio APIs, without needing prior experience. The event will be kicked off by Ezra Reaves and Amy Langer of Tarot and Palm Theatre, and will culminate in a demo ceremony where participants showcase their projects and receive feedback from judges and Twilio engineers. Five art projects created using Twilio technology are being showcased as inspiration for the build-a-thon, including "A Counting" by Ekene Ijeoma, which uses spoken and sign languages to explore social inequality; "Vaporloop" by Tilde Thurium and Ekate Kuznetsova, an interactive piece that fosters connection at a safe distance; "Melt Down" by Justin Levesque, which explores climate change through photography and audio recordings; "The Program" by Ezra Reaves and Amy Langer of Tarot and Palm Theatre, a performance work that challenges traditional modes of storytelling; and "Dialup" by Danielle Baskin, a voice-based social network that connects people around the world.
