Introducing Netlify Image CDN
Blog post from Netlify
Netlify has introduced its Image Content Delivery Network (CDN), designed to optimize images on websites, improving performance and user experience. The new feature allows developers to resize, crop, and reformat any image using a simple API. It also automatically delivers the best format supported by users' browsers, such as AVIF and WebP, while maintaining image quality. Netlify Image CDN supports both local and remote images, with allow rules for source domains and paths to prevent abuse and improve security. The service is compatible with all major frameworks and will soon have automatic integrations for most of them.
