No one said naming was easy: Encoding tiers are now video quality levels

Mux, a video platform, has introduced changes to its encoding tiers to improve clarity and functionality. Encoding tiers have been renamed "video quality levels" to better reflect their impact on video quality. The company also updated the names of its two existing tiers: "Smart" is now called "Plus," while "Baseline" is now "Basic." Additionally, Mux added a new feature that allows users to configure default video quality levels for all videos uploaded to the platform.
