Mux, a video startup company, has developed an abuse detection system to identify and take down soccer pirates who stream copyrighted content without permission from the rights holder. The system uses data from CDN logs stored in ClickHouse cluster and assigns risk scores based on customer information. N8n, a node-based workflow automation tool, is used for generating alerts and notifications. Once an alert is generated, it is sent to a Slack channel monitored by contractors who can escalate or silence the alert. The system has significantly reduced takedown requests and saved costs associated with unpaid invoices due to suspected pirated streams.
