Michael J. Wallace Joins Confluent as Public Sector GM

Confluent has appointed Michael J. Wallace as General Manager for its Public Sector division. Wallace brings over two decades of experience in technology sales and engineering, with a focus on data management and cybersecurity. As GM, he will help expand Confluent's presence within government sectors by leveraging the company's open-source Apache Kafka platform to better utilize data streams for digital initiatives. Additionally, Confluent has acquired WarpStream, an innovative Kafka-compatible streaming solution, and was named Microsoft's 2024 OSS on Azure Global Partner of the Year.
