Introducing: Backup Certificates

Cloudflare has started deploying backup certificates on Universal Certificate orders for Free customers who use Cloudflare as an Authoritative DNS provider. The company plans to issue backup certificates for all types of certificates in its pipeline, including Advanced Certificates and SSL for SaaS certificates. Backup certificates are designed to be ready for deployment immediately when events like key compromises or mass revocations require re-issuance of primary certificates. This feature aims to ensure that Cloudflare's customers remain secure and online during emergencies.
