The City Health Dashboard is a program created in partnership between NYU Langone Health and NYU's Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service, aiming to equip cities with comprehensive reliable data to build healthier and more equitable communities. The dashboard features 36 distinct measures of urban health across 500 American cities, tracked into five categories: social and economic factors, physical environment, health behavior, health outcomes, and clinical care. Users can select a city, choose a metric, and explore the data in various views, including charts, maps, and tabs, to gain insights into local health trends and relationships between metrics. The dashboard provides a unified aesthetic, using consistent color schemes across all views, and offers resources for cities to address health challenges and improve citizen lives. By offering granular views of local health metrics and comparative analysis against national datasets, the City Health Dashboard empowers city leaders with data-driven decision-making tools to boost local collaboration and improve citizen health nationwide.
