Supabase $30m Series A
Supabase, an open source Firebase alternative, has raised $30 million in funding, bringing its total funding to $36 million. The company is growing rapidly with over 50,000 databases launched and a community of more than 40,000 developers from leading companies. Supabase aims to make Postgres the default database for every developer by focusing on scalability, tooling, and cloud-native features. It plans to invest in building a platform that powers transactional workloads with automatic scaling, low latency, billing based on usage, branching, scalable storage, distributed databases, ephemeral compute, and time-travel capabilities.
