Supabase is now on Postgres 13.3
Supabase has updated its Postgres version to 13.3, introducing significant performance improvements and new features such as native UUID generation, a new JSONB datetime function, vacuuming indexes in parallel, incremental sortings, smaller btree indexes, and enhancements to extended statistics. The Supabase Postgres repo has also been updated from 0.15.0 to 13.3.0. Large System Extensions (LSE) have been enabled for ARM instances, which is expected to greatly enhance application performance through atomics and improve locking and synchronization performance across large systems. The new version of Supabase Postgres also includes enhanced security features such as fail2ban protection against brute force attacks on direct connections to Postgres.
