The Results Are In – Redis Usage Survey 2016!

Over October and November, Redis conducted two surveys regarding its usage. One survey was for Redis customers, while the other was open to all users. Both surveys yielded similar results but were divided into separate blog posts to distinguish between customer input and general user feedback. The surveys revealed an increase in use cases such as job and queue management, real-time analytics, high-speed transactions, notifications, distributed lock, and machine learning. Additionally, Redis is being used across various industries, including IoT, bots, meteorology, and environmental data. About 67% of survey respondents use Redis as their primary datastore for some of their data, and around 90% plan to increase their usage in the future.
