Redis Enterprise 6.4.2 Highlights Client Validation and Access Management Features

In Redis Enterprise 6.4.2, two new security features have been added to enhance data protection: extended client certificate validation and publish/subscribe access management. The first feature allows for additional validations on authenticated client certificates using the public key certificate's subject field, while the second one enables organizations to restrict access to pub/sub channels through ACLs. These features aim to provide a more secure environment for users by controlling which clients can access specific databases and preventing unauthorized access or message sending in pub/sub channels. Additionally, Redis Enterprise offers self-signed TLS certificates and the ability to disable certain services like the alert manager to optimize memory resources.
