A Hacktoberfest to bring us together

Hacktoberfest is a month-long celebration of open source software created by DigitalOcean to honor and uplift the community that contributes significantly to their projects. This year, they anticipate hundreds of thousands of developers participating in Hacktoberfest from 150 countries. Due to the global pandemic, all events are being held online, with a focus on reducing environmental impact by planting trees instead of giving out T-shirts as rewards. The event is also partnering with Intel, DEV, Vonage, JetBrains, Circle CI, and GitHub to provide resources and support for participants. Hacktoberfest aims to foster collaboration and growth within the open source community while promoting positive change in the world.
