Announcing Coder 2.0: Keep Developers In Flow

Coder, a company focused on keeping developers in flow, is hosting a Meetup at its Austin Office. The company specializes in cloud development environments (CDEs), which provide remote access to cloud-hosted development environments with minimal setup and configuration effort. Gartner predicts that by 2026, 60% of cloud workloads will be built and deployed using CDEs. However, most existing CDEs are SaaS solutions, which may not suit the needs of early adopters such as digital-native or digital-forward organizations. To address this issue, Coder offers a self-hosted CDE solution that provides flexibility and ease of use for developers. The company is announcing Coder 2.0, a major release with new capabilities available in its open source software starting September 27, 2023. Coder aims to continue improving developer productivity by addressing common obstacles such as slow build times and difficult AI code assistance.
