Sippy helps you avoid egress fees while incrementally migrating data from S3 to R2

Cloudflare has announced the open beta of "Sippy", an incremental migration service that transfers data from S3 (with other cloud providers planned) to R2 as it is requested, avoiding large upfront transfer fees and allowing for selective data migration. The process involves creating a new R2 bucket if necessary and enabling Sippy via the API. This beta release serves as the first step towards providing configurable incremental migration options directly from the Cloudflare dashboard along with analytics to track progress and cost savings.
