Introducing Spectrum with Load Balancing

Cloudflare has integrated its Spectrum service with Load Balancing, allowing traffic management of TCP connections using the same battle-tested Load Balancer that customers already use for billions of HTTP requests every day. This integration enables users to configure load balancers with TCP health checks, failover, and steering policies to dictate where traffic should flow. Health checks can be configured from multiple regions or all Cloudflare PoPs as an Enterprise customer to detect local and global connectivity issues from origins. Weights origin weights are beneficial for distributing traffic among origins of varying capacity or for unequally splitting traffic for any other reason. Steering modes available include failover, dynamic steering, and geo steering. The integration allows customers to build scalable TCP applications with minimal effort.
