Block step input fields
Buildkite has introduced custom forms directly into its pipelines, making it easier for users to get input from their team members. This feature can be used for various purposes such as choosing environments before deployment scripts, dynamic questions based on pull request content, automation of team onboarding and offboarding processes, checking deployment intentions, adding release information, and even organizing a Secret Santa event. To add an input field to your pipeline, you need to create a block step in the pipeline.yml file with prompt and field attributes. The data entered by users is available for subsequent steps from the build metadata. An example repository showcases this feature, and more information can be found in Buildkite's documentation.
