Aiven Terraform Provider v4: What's new
Aiven has released version 4.0.0 of the Aiven Terraform Provider, which includes significant changes to make managing data infrastructure easier using Terraform. The new release marks a shift from the older Terraform Plugin SDKv2 to the new Terraform Plugin Framework, providing better type checking. In this update, schema fields now use strict types instead of strings, and auto-upgrading functionality has been added for existing Terraform state files. Some deprecations have also been introduced, such as ip_filter and namespaces (for M3DB), which will be replaced in the upcoming version 5.X. The latest Aiven Terraform Provider is now compatible with Protocol Version 6, allowing for long-term stability and a faster bug fix cycle.
