Notion users can now create recurring task templates, which allows them to set up recurring tasks and projects without needing dedicated task management functionality. To do this, users click the dropdown caret next to New, select New template, customize the template by setting the due date property to a dynamic option, click out of the template and then click the three dots next to the template to select the repeating frequency, adjust settings as necessary, and click Save. This feature enables users to create recurring database items in their task list. Additionally, Notion's new feature allows users to set up templates for database items, making it easy to auto-fill properties and body text based on content type. Users can also use Zapier to automate repeating tasks by selecting the repeat frequency from a dropdown in their Notion task database and letting Zapier handle the rest. This system turns a 10-click process into a two-click workflow, which is more efficient for users who like to organize every aspect of their life in their task manager.
