In the early years of my startup, Carlypso, I faced a common challenge many young tech companies encounter: resource constraints due to competing priorities and an ever-changing roadmap. To overcome this, I discovered Zapier, a workflow automation software that empowers anyone to create customized, automated solutions using user interfaces, data tables, and logic with thousands of apps. With Zapier, I built workflows that streamlined manual tasks, such as data entry and document creation, allowing my team to focus on technology products. This led to significant improvements in customer experience and business growth, including the acquisition of over 22,000 cars per month for Carvana. After selling Carlypso to Carvana, I joined the company and continued using Zapier to iterate towards product market fit with my new venture Clutch. By empowering non-technical team members to complete technical tasks, we've created a culture where innovation and speed are encouraged, and our engineering team can focus on critical infrastructure scaling.
