Former VP of Product Ambar Shrivastava was laid off and found himself in a similar situation, leading him to develop CoverDoc, an AI-powered tool that generates personalized cover letters in minutes. By integrating with Zapier and OpenAI, CoverDoc automates the process, capturing user information, sending prompts to AI, generating drafts, and saving them in Airtable. The tool has gained significant traction, with over 1,600 users within two months of launch, and has also improved the lives of non-U.S. job seekers by providing grammar assistance and polished first drafts. With its success, Ambar is now exploring other areas where AI and automation can improve the job-seeking experience.
