Sentry is being used by Resolve to Save Lives, a non-profit organization that aims to save 100 million lives from cardiovascular disease and prevent epidemics. Resolve to Save Lives partnered with two development firms in Bangalore to build a mobile app called Simple, which is an electronic health record containing basic patient contact info, BP history, and current medications. The app solves the problems of slow paper records and easily lost patient information by allowing healthcare workers to quickly access patient records during follow-up visits. Simple's Android app was built offline first due to unstable network and power reliability in India, and its developers created a three-step data sync mechanism to allow asynchronous record syncing. The app uses Sentry to interface with the database and provides immediate, actionable alerts, stack traces, and mobile device information necessary to fix issues and minimize the impact on healthcare workers and patients. Simple is free and open-source, and Resolve to Save Lives encourages contributions from developers who want to do good and make a positive impact.
