Frances Coronel, a Co-Director of Techqueria and software engineer at Slack, received an Open Source Grant from Sentry to support her non-profit organization's efforts. With the grant, she focused on improving Techqueria's website, which grew into a credible source of truth and effective funnel for contributors. The website now has over 170 stars on GitHub and features such as a survey for members, new pages, and integrations with tools like Netlify and Sentry. Frances also became an active contributor to the open-source community, helping others make their first contributions through the website's GitHub bot. She emphasizes that being in open source means being in a constant state of improvement and encourages others to take the leap of faith and fully commit to an open-source project for 3 months.
