The Plone community recently adopted Open Sauce for their testing needs, which has enabled them to focus on improving Robot Framework. By using Open Sauce, the team was able to automate their testing and reduce the time spent managing their testing infrastructure. With this newfound freedom, they have been able to put more effort into developing and extending Robot Framework, including creating a set of keywords that enable automated screenshots for Sphinx documentation. The Plone community is now better equipped to test and ensure the stability of the new features in upcoming release of Plone 5, which includes a new widgets layer and responsive design. As a result, the team can focus on getting things done correctly, with a nightly report providing them with comprehensive screenshots of the application across various browsers, devices, and screen sizes.
