The email standard for displaying company avatars in email clients, BIMI, has undergone positive changes. The new standard allows companies to display their logo next to emails without the need for a trademarked logo or the costly process of obtaining a Verified Mark Certificate (VMC). Google recently announced support for Common Mark Certificates (CMC), which is part of the BIMI standard, allowing brands to purchase a certificate if they can prove they've used their logo publicly for 12 months. Other email providers like Yahoo and Fastmail also support the BIMI standard without requiring a CMC or VMC. The availability of these options provides a wide range of email provider support, making it easier for companies to display their avatars in emails.
