RapidAPI has announced the beta launch of its Kafka support on its Marketplace and Enterprise Hub, allowing developers to discover, test, and connect to Kafka clusters and topics in a single platform. RapidAPI is the first API platform to provide this functionality, enabling development teams to find, test, and connect to microservices, REST, SOAP, and GraphQL APIs, including Kafka. The new support makes it easier for developers to understand formats, test services, and debug Kafka consumers without an existing producer or vice versa. With Kafka APIs on RapidAPI, API providers can make Kafka topics and metadata discoverable, while developers can explore topic schemas and configuration, consume and produce records from a browser, and search for available clusters and topics using the platform's playground. The feature is part of RapidAPI's mission to empower developers to create transformative software applications, and will reach general availability by Q3 2021.
