The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) has been using graph databases, specifically Neo4j, to strengthen their reporting and analyze large datasets. This technology was instrumental in uncovering several prize-winning investigations, including the Panama Papers, Pandora Papers, and FinCEN Files. The ICIJ is now seeking an independent data scientist for a 2022 fellowship program to help make sense of complex data and promote transparency. The fellow will work with the ICIJ to apply graph technology to investigative journalism, building on the success of previous initiatives. The program aims to empower developers and data scientists to successfully grow their projects and is run by Yolande Poirier, who also runs advocacy programs for Neo4j.
