MQTT, an asynchronous publish/subscribe communication protocol used extensively in Industrial IoT (IIoT), facilitates data exchange between devices at the edge and a centralized server. InfluxDB is purpose-built for time series data and has been improved with InfluxDB 3.0, which offers better write throughput, faster queries, and 90%+ storage cost savings through Apache Parquet persistence.
