PayPal sought a scalable host monitoring solution to keep pace with its dynamic infrastructure as it modernized from old applications to containers. The solution used InfluxDB Enterprise, Telegraf agents, message queues, and publishers to build a resilient monitoring system that works at scale, with a replication factor of 3 and more data nodes to prevent immediate single point of failure conditions.
