We are thrilled to announce the winners of our hackathon, which took place from April 26th to May 26th, bringing together developers of all skill levels to create, learn, and connect while building creative applications using EdgeDB, Vercel, and EdgeDB Cloud. Over 100 participants submitted 30 projects showcasing impressive creativity and technical prowess, with the judges selecting winners for their quality and impact. The first prize went to Agroecology Wiki, a comprehensive wiki consolidating agroecology knowledge, demonstrating EdgeDB's ability to handle complex data relationships; second prize was awarded to Lookfeel, a design inspiration tool enhancing design processes; and third prize to Webble, an engaging conversational form replacement for traditional forms. Other notable mentions included the AI Debater project, which uses multiple AI models to generate crowd-sourced debates, and monsieurpigeon, who won the Discord Champion award for their valuable contributions to the community. The event was a huge success, with over 100 participants and 30 projects submitted, and we look forward to seeing you at future events!
