Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC) is an isolated and secure virtual network that can be used to deploy resources while restricting their exposure to the internet. As part of monitoring strategy, VPC flow logs can be collected and analyzed to understand traffic patterns, optimize security posture, and troubleshoot connectivity and configuration issues. Amazon VPC already integrates with CloudWatch Logs and S3, and now also integrates with Data Firehose for native log processing and delivery. This integration enables customers to send VPC flow logs directly to Datadog for real-time monitoring and analysis, reducing operational overhead and costs. With this integration, customers can collect and analyze high-cardinality log data from multiple accounts in one place, perform analytics on their VPC flow log data, visualize trends over time, and identify suspicious traffic patterns. By leveraging Amazon Data Firehose with Datadog Log Management, customers can streamline the processing and delivery of VPC flow logs, making it easier to monitor and analyze their virtual network.
