Datadog has announced the availability of private actions in its Action Catalog, which enables teams to build workflows and apps to securely manage their self-hosted infrastructure. Private actions support over 300 actions across six connection types, including Kubernetes, GitLab, Jenkins, PostgreSQL, Temporal, and HTTP. These actions allow teams to automate remediation processes for critical infrastructure components, such as Kubernetes deployments, pods, and containers, in real-time. By using private actions, teams can reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR) and improve overall incident response efficiency. Additionally, these actions enable the creation of custom apps that provide visibility and control over self-hosted services without requiring Kubernetes expertise or logging into the console.
