In this post, we discuss how to use Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail for monitoring AWS WAF activity and auditing logs. We demonstrate how to analyze AWS WAF metrics using built-in dashboards and query data using the AWS CLI. Additionally, we cover reviewing WAF activity and audit logs, as well as insights provided by CloudWatch Logs Insights and CloudTrail Insights. This information can help administrators adjust permissions or investigate potential security issues related to their web ACLs.
