Google has announced the Google Cloud Ready Distributed Cloud program, which validates partner solutions on its AI-ready modern infrastructure, Google Distributed Cloud (GDC). The new program allows customers to quickly find and deploy vetted solutions from trusted partners like Couchbase, providing a scalable and flexible multi-purpose database platform for running locally on standardized GDC. This setup enables data privacy compliance and ultra-low latency for AI processing, while also allowing for cost-effective scaling up and down as needed. Additionally, the Google Cloud Couchbase connector has been introduced, enabling developers to connect to and work directly with Google Cloud services such as Vertex AI, making it easy to develop data-driven AI-powered applications that run at the edge for ultra-low latency speed and maximum data privacy. The program enables various use cases in manufacturing, retail, and federal defense, including real-time inventory management, smart shelf applications, sensitive data analysis, training and simulations, and field intelligence monitoring.
