Coder v0.2 aims to provide a portable, extendable development environment in the browser with features like real-time collaboration, dynamic scaling of resources, and expandable storage. It integrates popular IDEs such as VSCode while maintaining their functionality and supports running extensions both in the browser and on the server for better performance. The platform is free to use but offers optional upgrades for additional storage, CPU, memory, and networking. Coder is currently in alpha stage and welcomes feedback from users.
