Cockroach Labs has announced the availability of its new instructor-led training course "CockroachDB Fundamentals for Application Development", a four-day, hands-on experience designed to help organizations make the most of CockroachDB. The course is taught by expert educators and covers key differences between CockroachDB and other relational databases, as well as best practices for application code design, SQL queries, database schema, and performance tuning. It addresses topics such as primary key best practices, secondary index best practices, SQL statement tuning, transaction fundamentals, and advanced best practices for transactions. The course is available for private delivery on site or virtually to a maximum class size of 12, and attendees will receive a voucher to take a CockroachDB professional certification exam when it becomes available later this year. This instructor-led training builds on Cockroach Labs' longstanding commitment to customer education, which includes its free online learning platform, Cockroach University.
