Cloudflare has introduced a private network feature allowing teams to create their own private networks on the company's network. Team members can connect to private IP addresses in environments controlled by administrators, who deploy a lightweight software connector replacing traditional VPN appliances. The new feature combines IP level connectivity and Zero Trust controls, with plans for additional identity-based network-level rules. This solution aims to provide the convenience of a private network while moving towards a Zero Trust model. It is available at no cost for organizations with 50 or fewer team members.
