Jay Cephas, a founding director of Studio Plat, built TheCommons quickly using Bubble to solve his own problem of keeping up with new research, which has since grown 100% through word-of-mouth, with interest from libraries and other institutions in using it to streamline acquisitions. Future plans include direct notifications for new publications added to the database.
