Aiven has released support for Apache Kafka version 2.7, which includes security updates and performance improvements. Key enhancements include PEM support, connection creation rate limiting, quota throttling for create topic, create partition, and delete topic operations, sliding window aggregations in the DSL, and getting rid of ZooKeeper dependencies. Users can either launch a new cluster or upgrade to the latest version.
