AI SDK 4.0

The AI SDK 4.0 release introduces several new capabilities including PDF support, computer use support (Anthropic), continuation support, and a new xAI Grok provider. These features enhance the functionality of the open-source toolkit for building AI applications with JavaScript and TypeScript. With these updates, developers can now extract text and information from PDF documents, interact with apps and interfaces naturally, generate text beyond standard output limits, and use the x.AI through a new official provider. The AI SDK also supports more options and improved performance across providers such as Cohere, OpenAI, Google Generative AI & Vertex AI, Amazon Bedrock, Groq, and xAI Grok.
