Prompt Selectors

The text discusses a common issue where default prompt templates do not work equally well for all models, especially after OpenAI released a ChatGPT API with a new interface. To address this problem, the concept of PromptSelector is introduced to dynamically select appropriate prompt templates based on the model passed in. This approach aims to offer functionality that "Just Works" out of the box and can be extended for different models, providers, and versions. The transition to these selectors has begun with popular chains and will continue as quickly as possible. Community feedback is welcome.
