Hex has introduced the public beta access to the Data Manager, a metadata tool designed to enhance SQL skills by custom-tuning them to an organization's data. The tool aims to improve Hex Magic's SQL generation from "pretty good" to "excellent" for specific tables and columns. By adding detailed metadata to the Data Manager, users can increase table retrieval accuracy and reduce string hallucinations in AI-generated SQL queries. The tool is simple to use and provides a straightforward interface for accessing and editing four kinds of metadata about data connections.
