Cloudflare is faster than Zscaler
In a head-to-head performance test, conducted by third-party testing firm Miercom, Cloudflare's Zero Trust solution outperformed Zscaler in terms of speed and reliability. The tests were designed to mimic an end-user connecting to a resource protected by Cloudflare or Zscaler, and the results showed that Cloudflare was consistently faster than Zscaler across all regions. In particular, when comparing time to first byte (the amount of time it takes for the first byte of data from the server to reach the client's machine), Cloudflare was 45% faster than Zscaler globally. Furthermore, when looking at total response time or the ability for a browser isolation product to deliver a full response back to a user, Cloudflare was still 39% faster than Zscaler. This performance edge can be attributed in part to Cloudflare's well-peered network architecture, which is designed to optimize end-to-end performance and improve the overall user experience.
