Reduce latency and increase cache hits with Regional Tiered Cache

What's this blog post about?

Cloudflare has introduced a new feature called Regional Tiered Cache for its Enterprise customers. This feature is designed to enhance the performance of assets while reducing connections and load on customer origins. When enabled, lower-tier data centers will reach out to regional tiers in their proximity before reaching out to upper-tier data centers in different regions. The new Regional Tiered Cache improves upon Smart Tiered Cache by adding an additional tier in each region around the world, increasing the chances that content is available nearby and reducing latency for cache misses. Enterprise customers can enable this feature through either the Cloudflare Dashboard or API. This update aims to provide better performance for websites with upper-tiers located in one or two regions, but it will not benefit those using Generic Global Tiered Cache which has multiple upper-tiers across various regions. Cloudflare plans to continue developing and improving their CDN offerings, and interested parties can apply for positions within the company.``` SUMMARY: Cloudflare introduces Regional Tiered Cache feature for Enterprise customers to improve asset performance while reducing connections and load on customer origins.
