Dolphin is currently serving as the Director and Lead QA at Rubber Duck Consulting, where they work on a variety of roles that provide exposure to new things and opportunities for skill expansion. They are also a Platform Test Lead, responsible for providing tooling, guidance, and consultancy to hundreds of testers across different UK centers. Their goal for the coming year is to speak at one meetup and one conference, as well as write a few blog posts. To stay up-to-date with skills and industry knowledge, Dolphin attends online events from various platforms like meetup.com, BrowserStack, AppliTools, and Ministry of Testing (MoT). They also visit MoT Club regularly and follow people on Twitter to learn from their blog posts. Dolphin got into public speaking by overcoming panic attacks through running a small monthly software meetup and eventually giving talks at conferences. Their advice for aspiring public speakers includes not being discouraged by rejections, acknowledging that it's okay to be nervous or not know everything, and embracing questions as opportunities to validate ideas and improve presentations. Dolphin appreciates the BrowserStack Champions community for its diverse mix of people with different skills and backgrounds, providing a platform for learning from experts in the testing field. They also find BrowserStack helpful in their work by enabling them to support users easily and quickly get them up and running with Automate and Live features.
