Introducing volume-based pricing

What's this blog post about?

In October 2021, Airbyte introduced a vision for consumption-based pricing with credits, separating how databases and APIs were charged. However, in April 2022, they switched to volume-based consumption due to the unpredictability of compute-based pricing. The new pricing model is based on millions of rows for APIs and GBs for databases and files. Airbyte offers discounts when users buy bulk credit packages upfront. They are also more affordable than competitors using the monthly-active-rows (MAR) model. A 14-day unlimited credit trial is available to help customers estimate their costs.
