Testing Agora vs. Vonage for Multi-Party Web Video Calls

This blog compares the performance of Agora and Vonage video SDKs in multi-party web scenarios with 32 participants under various network conditions, including constrained bandwidth, packet loss, and jitter. The testing results show that Agora consistently achieves better frame rates than Vonage across different scenarios. Under normal network conditions, both platforms maintain a steady frame rate of around 28 FPS for Agora and 27 FPS for Vonage. However, when facing uplink/downlink packet loss or jitter, Agora outperforms Vonage with more stable frame rates. In terms of CPU utilization, Agora consumes slightly less CPU resources than Vonage, while Agora uses slightly more RAM than Vonage. Overall, Agora demonstrates better performance and resilience in handling network disruptions and optimizing the end-user experience for multi-party web video calls.
