How to use Claude Artifacts
Claude Artifacts are self-contained outputs generated from a Claude chat that appear in a dedicated window next to the main conversation, allowing users to work on substantial content separately from the main chat. Claude automatically generates Artifacts when it determines that the content is substantial enough to warrant being separate, and can generate six types of Artifacts: code snippets, documents, single page websites, SVG images, diagrams and flowcharts, and interactive React components. Users can edit, copy, download, publish, or hide their Artifacts, and can also interact with them using various options such as asking Claude to explain an element or generating new versions. While Artifacts offer incredible functionality, they have limitations including the inability to browse the web, defaulting to bullet points and lists, adding placeholders, and being prone to hallucinations. Users can automate their workflows using Zapier to connect Claude with other apps and tools.
