WorkOS has made session management available to all its users for free, providing easy integration through libraries like Next.js. The underlying mechanism uses access and refresh tokens to validate user sessions, ensuring security by default. Upcoming enhancements include real-time changes, inactivity timeouts, client SDKs, and PKCE support.
