Text-To-Speech: Let Your Application Speak, Now in 50 Languages!

What's this blog post about?

To improve the Text-to-Speech feature of their Voice API, Vonage has introduced standard language codes, allowing developers to easily select the desired language for a message. The new feature also includes voice styles and samples, enabling users to choose from various voices and adjust the style to suit their brand. Additionally, Vonage has expanded its supported languages, dialects, and voices, adding 7 new languages, 17 more languages with SSML support, and 130 new voices, bringing the total number of supported voices to over 200. The updated feature is designed to reduce costs and provide a better customer experience by allowing developers to easily construct custom phrases for their applications. Vonage has also made it easy for users to customize the spoken text with SSML and provides resources such as a developer portal guide, code snippets, and speech recognition guides to help developers get started.
