Introduction to the CAMARA Project

The CAMARA project is an open-source initiative within the Linux Foundation that aims to establish a new standard for network APIs in the telecom industry, promoting collaboration and harmonization among multiple entities. The project's name originates from the Greek word for "arched roof," symbolizing its alliance-like structure. It hosts API standards, develops, and tests APIs, collaborating closely with the GSMA Operator Platform Group. The CAMARA project is organized into subprojects and working groups, which discuss topics related to each API, develop documentation, and test code. A key aspect of the project is maintaining the lifecycle of APIs, from onboarding proposals to deployment and testing in real environments.
